It would be cool if the citydao monument (or a part of it) is something that could be repeated in new lands, new network states sort of like how many State Houses, Legislative buildings are in the classical style and share similar elements.
We share the same line of thinking! The Neoclassical architectural styles present within the US democratic institutions were intentionally meant to hearken to Roman classical order. As you mention, the Roman Republic was foundational both in ideology and in physical form to the new republic that was being created with the formation of the United States. Which is why so many government buildings use the classical order columns on their front portico and a dome to cap a central rotunda.
It's entirely my hope that whichever monument gets built on Parcel 0, has elements that can be replicated far and wide to other CityDAO parcels and network state origins. This is an exciting moment in history!
Torin this post has provided much food for thought.... one question: your monument of origin is more about origin of a civilization, rather than an origin of a movement. I ask because there are lots of monuments that signify important moments in history, (9/11 memorial, wright brothers first flight memorial etc.) but I think you are trying to be more limited here.
Nicholas- Yes, you are correct. My goal is to focus entirely on origins related to the inception of a civilization. We are going through such tectonic shifts in the way organize ourselves (DAOs being a prime example) that I believe we are entering a new era of civilization. Thus the need to classify and honor Parcel 0 as a true monument of origin
